3rd Annual Festival of Lights

• Nightly – Thanksgiving night thru New Year’s night – Cam-Plex Park, Gillette, WY
   
• The Campbell County Parks & Recreation Department is pleased to announce that the Holiday Festival of Lights will be brighter than ever this holiday season! The 3^rd annual display will kick off on Thanksgiving night and run thru New Year’s Day! Our goal this season is to display 100,000 lights!
   
• The display has come a long way since its inception in December of 2006. In 2006, the display dazzled nearly 10,000 people with only about 20,000 lights throughout Cam-Plex Park. Last year we added more than twice as many lights. Traffic counters revealed that more than 21,000 people came out to see the holiday designs! Support from the community made it all possible, and contributions from local businesses brought the lights to life!
   
• This year students from Twin Spruce and Sage Valley Junior High schools participated in a contest to create ideas for new displays. The response was overwhelming and students from the schools art departments submitted more than 50 display ideas! We selected four of their designs and will be adding them to the 3^rd annual display. In addition to the four new student designed displays there will be more lights in the trees, and throughout the park!
   
• The parks staff need your help to make it happen. We are seeking your support of the display this year. Any contribution is appreciated and will enhance the display. Contributing businesses may use the donation as a tax deduction and we will provide a receipt of donation at your request. As a sponsor, you are recognized on the Parks & Recreation website as well as on a special MySpace site created just for the display! Sponsors receive recognition through advertising in the News Record and in the 5000 parks and recreation program brochures published in the fall. A sign is placed at the display listing all sponsors and your companies name is broadcast on the special FM radio station developed for the animation portion of the display,
